History of Penta

Penta is currently owned & managed by Glenn Buurma. In 1997 he purchased the business from his father Harry, who started the business in 1975 as a Surge dairy equipment dealership. Soon feed handling equipment was added to the lineup, Including Oswalt TMR feed mixers.  In 1995 the dairy equipment was discontinued and business started to push hard into a feed mixer business adding additional lines of new mixers starting in 1991, the refurbishing of used mixers was a huge part of the buisness.  This taught us from the rust up, soon we knew what worked and what did not.  Starting in 1994 the Jay-lor vertical mixer got to be our main line thoughout Ontario, Michigan and New York.   In 2001 we decided to build our own design incorporating all the details we had learned though refurbishing and selling mixers over 14 years.
